I was speaking with Jelte de Kiewit, the CEO of Your Health today about their growth plans. Jelte was telling me that they have just opened their 10th club in Holland and now have their sights set on a move into France and Germany.
Your Health trade in the low-cost sector with monthly memberships at €15.95 (one year contract), but they are focusing on the more discerning gym member. Clubs operate at a much smaller membership level (circa 2,800 members) compared to a McFit (average of 7,000), which allows the clubs to maintain a more personal ambiance.
I am meeting Jelte at the forthcoming IHRSA Convention in San Francisco, so will be able to find out more next month.
